Roles and Responsibilities

Profile: - This person should have a minimum of 3+ years IT experience - Certifications in storage related technologies is a must - Experience with administration and management of Hitachi & EMC Storage - Experience in Designing, Implementing and Supporting Storage Infrastructure. - Experience and understanding of LUNs, Volumes, RAID configuration. - Experience with Hitachi & EMC based storage management tools - Excellent troubleshooting skills. - Experience in managing SAN Fabric and maintaining configuration. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key skills required: (in the order of priority) Storage : EMC and Hitachi Storage replication in heterogeneous environment Operating Systems : Unix & Windows

Skills and Job Requirements

Required for Storage Admin role Project/Scope Description: • Configure storage arrays of EMC, Hitachi SAN fabric switches. • Configure, reallocate, manage or remove storage volumes at the operating system level to meet service requests. • Configure and manage fabric zoning as per project and customer requirement • SAN infrastructure configuration • Storage systems check: Monitor and alert failures within external arrays, tape libraries and SAN fabric components in order to identify and rectify potential hardware failures. • Space provisioning • Storage status • Providing support for Enterprise Storage Infrastructure, respond to and resolve escalated issues. Escalate to and manage external service providers or vendors until problem resolution. • Monitor, review and optimize the performance and connectivity of the SAN environment. • Develop reporting mechanisms on weekly, monthly basis to ensure conformance to business SLAs. • Troubleshoot Performances issues • Trouble Connectivity issues
